The Hipster Mom Podcast

Neurodiversity with Lorna Rose

Amanda Betters Season 2 Episode 5

Hey, everyone! I'm back with another episode, and this time, I'm talking with Lorna Rose.

Lorna is a writer and a stay-at-home-mom to two neurodivergent children, and she talks about the struggles of becoming a mom and how she didn't love motherhood right away. We also talk about what her view of a stay-at-home-mom looked like before becoming one, what a "typical routine" looks like for her kids, equine therapy, distance learning, and the complications that she endured during her pregnancy with her daughter.

We also talked about self-care, and Lorna stresses to new moms that they must make time for themselves, but they have to do it in a way that makes sense for them. If there is something you can take away from today's conversation, it's this: never apologize for taking time for yourself. You need to do it to be the best parent you can be.

Follow Lorna on Facebook, Twitter, and you can also find her on her website!
